bauMax has been involved in the issue of conserving energy for many years. We want to inspire our customers to make use of energy-saving products in the home and garde. For this we offer:
- a wide range of energy-syving products
- qualified energy cost consultants in our stores
- informational events and materials as well as energy conservation courses
We also carry out numerous energy-saving measures in our own companies:
- Green logistics: Bundling the flow of goods boosts lorry capacity from 50 to 95% This saves 290 t of diesel and more than 1,000,000 kg of CO² per year
- Heating: The use of geothermal energy and pellet-heating systems reduces CO² emissions by 75% /ca. 100,000 kg of CO² per store and year.
- Lighting: The lighting in our stores consumes most of the energy. With a new energy-efficient lighting concept the power requirement can be reduced by ca. 30%. For pur outside advertising panels we use energy-saving LED-technology
